FOOD AND WINE QUESTIONS

WHAT SIZE ARE THE GLASSES OF WINE?

Each glass of wine is a standard 150ml pour. There’s no prize for finishing them all, so be sure to drink within your limits. Water is also made available at all of the restaurants.

ARE THERE NON-ALCOHOLIC ALTERNATIVES?

Each restaurant will have non-alcoholic alternatives (sparkling water, soft drink and juice) that you can order in place of wine.

WHAT SIZE ARE THE DISHES?

Size wise, the dishes lie between entree and degustation portion.

IS WATER AVAILABLE FOR FREE AT THE RESTAURANTS?

Tap water is available for free at all of the restaurants.

I AM A VEGETARIAN, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

We cater for vegetarians! During the checkout process you are able to nominate if you, or anyone in your group is a vegetarian. This means that you will get a vegetarian dish paired with your wine. Our restaurant partners buy food in advance according to the number of vegetarians. So if you request vegetarian meals, you can’t chop and change on the day. You’re vegie all the way.

I AM GLUTEN INTOLERANT, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

We cater for gluten intolerance! During the checkout process you are able to nominate if you, or anyone in your group is gluten intolerant. This means that you will get a gluten free dish paired with your wine. Our restaurant partners buy food in advance according to the number of gluten intolerant guests. So if you request gluten free meals, you can’t chop and change on the day. You’re GF all the way.

I AM ALLERGIC TO SOMETHING, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

Right now, outside of gluten intolerance, unfortunately we do not cater for food allergies.

I DON'T DRINK WINE, WILL THIS REDUCE THE PRICE?

No. There will be wine alternatives available to you at each restaurant (tea, coffee, soft drink and juice).

CAN I VISIT RESTAURANTS IN ANY SEQUENCE I LIKE?

No. We divide guests into four equal groups (max 80 people per group). Each group starts at a different restaurant, and has a set sequence and arrival time for the remaining restaurants. We do this so you experience great service! It allows restaurants to have things ready when you arrive, and prevents 320 people arriving at the same restaurant, at the same time. On the day we will supply you with a map of the restaurants, and wait staff will let you know when it’s time to explore your next venue.

I'M RUNNING LATE, WHAT DO I DO?

Every group has a set sequence to visit the restaurants in, as well as arrival times at each restaurant. This means that if you are late, you will have less time to spend at the first restaurant, as you will have at set arrival time for your second restaurant.

CAN I BE IN THE SAME GROUP AS MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY?

Of course! When you purchase multiple tickets in a single transaction they are automatically grouped together. If you purchase tickets at a different time to a friend be sure to nominate the same starting restaurant, and add your friend’s order number (in the check-out process) to your purchase.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF GUESTS?

The maximum number of guests for Bite Sip Stroll is 320 people. Guests will be broken into four equal groups (max 80 people per group). To ensure amazing service, only one group is scheduled at a time for each restaurant.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT OPTIONS (BRISBANE)

We plan our events in locations that are easily accessible by public transport. Check with your local transport authority for specifics.

BOOKING QUESTIONS

WHERE ARE MY TICKETS?

Your tickets should be emailed to you immediately after purchase. If you haven’t received your tickets reach out to us via our contact page.

CAN I BOOK ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT?

Unfortunately not. The restaurants need time to plan for the event (purchase food, organise staff, etc). For this reason, ticket sales must be purchased a minimum of four days before the event.

ARE THE TICKETS ASSIGNED BY NAME?

The name of the person who purchased tickets will appear on the tickets (as the ticket holder) but anyone, with any name can use a ticket. This way they can be given as gifts, or given to friends if you are unable to attend. Tickets have a unique number to ensure they can only be used once.

HOW DO I ORDER THIS AS A GIFT FOR SOMEONE ELSE?

The tickets are not assigned to a particular person, so they can be used by anyone. To give the Bite Experience as a gift, simply forward the ticket email to the lucky recipient.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND QUESTIONS

CAN I CANCEL?

No, but the good news is, tickets are not assigned to you personally. So if you are unable to make it, you can give your ticket(s) to friends and family to enjoy!

CAN I GET A REFUND IF I DON'T LIKE THE FOOD AND WINE?

No. Bite, Sip, Stroll is a food and wine journey exploring different culinary pairings. It offers a fantastic opportunity to try new dishes and new wines. However, as with all cases of exploration sometimes things do not fit everyone’s tastes. That said the restaurants are all of a high calibre and put a lot of effort into creating unique, tasty pairings for you.

We also ask that you share your thoughts about each restaurant with us (good or bad). If a restaurant does not meet our standards, it will be removed from future Bite Sip Stroll events.

IS BITE SIP STROLL CANCELLED IF IT RAINS?

No. We carefully choose the timing of our events, so that likelihood of rain is minimised. That said, we can’t guarantee sunshine, and Bite Sip Stroll takes place regardless of weather conditions. We would appreciate guests limiting rain dancing on the day of Bite Sip Stroll.
